In memory of beloved members of our family

The autumn 2011 was really tuff - with two totally unexpected incidents

(N) Nordic Lynx Terracotta, MCO f 22

Born 11 nov 2007

Dead 13 dec 2011

Terracotta lived by our friends from the day she arrived as a kitten and was given the name "Corinne" at home.
She was neutered in nov 2011, she never gave birth to any kittens although she was mated several times. On the 13th of dec 2011, in the morning, "Corinne" was found dead by the family she lived with. She had never been ill and after neutering her she was acting like a lively kitten again, always playing and full of life.
An autopsy was made and the statement from the autopsy showed that a absolutely healthy cat just died - for no reason at all it seems!!!!
Rest in peace you lovely girl. You will never be forgotten!
We will all meet again by Rain Bow Bridge!

S*Acrobat's Kristoffer Kristall, MCO ns 11

Born 26 mar 2010

Died 2 nov 2011

Our big new breeding male with his red shaded silver color was at first living together with his mum where he was born. In the beginning of October 2011 he moved in with us. He had a absolutely fantastic temperament and found his place together with our other cats from the first moment.
The last weekend in October he seemed to be tired and he also was a bit irritated from his ears - as it seemed. On Monday we took him to our veterinary who sent him further to the animal hospital in our neighbour town. He had developed an infection in his lungs and one lung had collapsed and the other lung was in very bad shape. The veterinarys worked with him for several days but they had to give up because he was suffering too much from not beeing able to breathe normally. On the morning the 2nd of November he was put to sleep.
The autopsy showed that he had a bacteriological infection in both lungs and the infection had also affected his heart. There was no signs of HCM or FIP. The veterinarians can not say how this has happend. One suggestion is that he had inhlated something in his lungs, for example some food that got into the lungs or that he had some small wound that got infected and spread to the lungs.
Unfortunately we will never know for sure what really made our lovely boy so sick. We are extremely grateful for the time we spent with him and we will never forget you Kris!
Rest in peace you big silver boy - we will all meet you by the Rain Bow Bridge again!

S*Absolut Coon's "Little Red"

Born 19 may 2011

Dead 22 may 2011

Our beautiful, red boy, had a fantastic birth weight and he did so well the first 24 hours in his young life. He gained weight and everything seemed to be ok. Unfortunately his interest in mamas milk decreased and he got more and more weak. He quietly died away only 3 days old.
Dear little heart, we will never forget you!
Sleep in peace you little Red Boy - we will meet again on the other side of the Rainbowbridge.

Our beloved housecat - Tyson

Born 28 maj 1996

Dead 27 aug 2011

Tyson was our house cat and he had the biggest and warmest heart of all. He was not afraid of anything and he loved people and he had the most fantastic social skill when he was among both known and unknown people.
His best friend, among our cats, was the Maine Coon Elvis. They did almost everything together and before they went to sleep in the evening they spent quite a long while washing each other.
Tyson had a special integrity and if some of the younger cats tried to "pick a quarrel" Tyson just stood firm and looked at the younger cat until the younger cat just turned and went away. Tyson was also the shield between Elvis and the younger cats that tried to "pick a quarrel" with Elivs.
Tyson got very ill the summer 2010. His kidneys, stomach and his old legs were almost not able to carry him anymore. Our veterinary advised us to let him go to sleep.
It felt horrible to put Tyson to sleep alone, without his best friend Elvis, so together with our veterinary we decided that Elvis should accompany Tyson over the Rainbow bridge.
Tyson - you are extremly missed not only by us but also by our neighbours and friends. Even if you were a house cat you were the "groundwork" of our Maine Coon cattery. You were the "solid rock" in our cattery always super social to everyone.
We hope you and your best friend Elvis have a really nice time on the other side of Rainbowbridge.
Always in our heart - See you again..........

(N) EC Arctic Coon's Elvis Prytzly

Born 9 may 1999

Dead 27 aug 2011

Elvis was an extremly good tempered cat. He was no lap cat but always sleeping close by his people.
As a kitten Elvis was very tuff and totaly fearless. When he became older he got more careful and anxious about everything that he normally would have accepted without any fear. Maybe his sight and hearing got bad over the years.
As Elvis was such a gentle and nice cat the younger cats started to mob him when he got older. Every time this happend our housecat Tyson came along and stood by Elvis side and acted "body-guard" to avoid trouble for Elvis. Every single evening Elvis and Tyson washed each other before going to sleep in our bed.
When Tyson got ill and our veterinary was not able to do anything more we decided, together with our vet, that Tyson and Elvis would accompany each other over the Rainbowbridge.
It was a horrible day to let them both go to sleep together but we are hoping that both of them now live a quiet and free life together on the other side of Rainbowbridge.
Elvis - our first breeding male - we miss you extremly much and we think of you every day, you were so fantastic and so gentle.....
We hope you and your best friend Tyson have a really nice time on the other side of Rainbowbridge.
Always in our heart - See you again ........

S*Absolut Coon's "Lilla Blå" ("Little Blue")

Born 2009-05-11

Dead 2009-05-15

Our beautiful, blue boy, who did so well the first 24 hours in his young life. He gained weight and everything seemed to be ok. Unfortunately his breathing was giving him trouble and antibiotics and bottlefeeding did not help. He quietly died away only 4 days old.
Dear little heart, we will never forget you!
Sleep in peace you little Blue Boy - we will meet again on the other side of the Rainbowbridge.

(N) Arctic Coon's Rozy Madonna

Born 2001-09-28

Dead 2009-04-09

Rozy Madonna, or "Donna" as she was called here at home was a very good looking, colourful and super tempered MCO-girl. She was our first female and she was also the mother of our first litter, the A-litter and then also the C-litter.
In July 2006 we decided that she should live her life here with us as a happy neutre. Unfortunately Donna did not like to live as a neutre among the other cats here at home. She was therefore re-homed in another family in 2007. A home in which she could live her life like the queen she really was...... One day in April 2009 she got very, very sick with bloody vomits and great pain in her stomach. She was immediately taken to a veterinarian who decided that he only could let her go to sleep because she was in such great pain.
Donna is sadly missed by us and also by the family in which she lived as a queen of the house for the last two years of her life. She has stolen many hearts during her life and there will be many hugs waiting for you Donna when we all meet again by the Rainbowbridge. Sleep well and safe you fantastic girl until our next meeting.................

DK* Biloxi's No Fear

Born 2007-02-25

Dead 2008-08-11

We called our woderful redsilvermale"Curry-Jam-Jam" because of his colur and because of the fact that he was "spinning" all the time - "spinning" in Swedish is "kurra" so the name "Curry" was perfect for this wonderful boy.
Unfortunately he got big problems in his mouth when he was changing teeth at the age of about 6 months. In spite of antibiotics his mouth was red an irritated. When he was re-vaccinated in May 2008 the problems got much worse. He had problems to eat and he stopped washing himself.
Our veterinary has tried everything to try and make him better but without result. We did not want him to suffer anymore so in August 2008 he calmly went to sleep.
We miss you so much Curry, and we hope that you will not suffer anymore and we really love to meet you again some day in the future and then we can cross the Rainbowbridge together.............

IP S*Figgli´s Mr Marvin

Born 1996-12-12

Dead 2002-09-19

Mr Marvin was our "Philosopher" who, like Ferdinand the Bull, prefered to sit and "smell the flowers rather than to run around and play with the other cats".
He was quite unexpectedly and very sudden taken away from us and we miss him more than words can express.
Beloved Marvin, have a nice time until we see each other again and can cross the Rainbowbridge together............

Postmortem 1: An autopsy were made in order to find out why Marvin died so sudden. The autopsy showed no signs of desease and no HCM in his heart.
It seems like a quite healthy cat just died very sudden for some unaccountable reason.
Postmortem 2: Out veterinary was not satisfied with the above report so she had a new autopsy made by some of her old collegues. This autopsy showed that Marvin did have HCM in his heart, but in such an early stage that it was almost invisible for the human eye. And no HCM-tests could ever have shown the disease in his heart at this early stage.

Rainbow Bridge

"Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.......
